About this service

York Carers Centre offer support to anyone affected by a family member's drug or alcohol use. This includes parents, partners, children, grandparents and siblings. Support focuses on you, the family member/friend, but also on helping the whole family cope with the problems that arise from substance misuse. Support offered includes:

  • Assessment and care/recovery plans
  • Confidential one to one support
  • Workshops
  • Peer support groups
  • Signposting to other organisations
  • Specialist information and advice, such as rights and benefits

Office Hours: The telephone lines are open Monday to Friday 9.30 am – 4.30 pm (4 pm on Fridays) for information and advice on 01904 715 490.
