Via - West Berkshire
About this service
Via West Berkshire is a free and confidential recovery and wellbeing service. We offer treatment and support for all West Berkshire residents, affected by drug and alcohol problems, as well as their families and carers. We also have a dedicated young people's team, The Edge, which supports young people under the age of 18.
What we offer:
- Advice and information around your health and wellbeing
- Open access/drop-in appointments for your convenience
- One-to-one sessions with your own recovery practitioner
- A range of different support groups for various stages of your recovery
- BBV screening and Hep B vaccines
- Needle and syringe exchange facilities onsite at Station Road and across various local pharmacies
- Access to prescribed medication and regular reviews
- Access to community alcohol detoxes
- Access to Naloxone to support with reducing overdoses
- Looking ahead to what’s next: motivational programmes, education, training and employment support, peer mentoring and volunteering
We also offer support to your family and loved ones so that they can receive help and advice on how best to support you during your recovery.
Referral (how to access this service)
Self referral. Any professional such as a housing support worker, social worker, GP or nurse can also make a referral on your behalf.
