About this service
One Recovery Bucks offers advice and information to support you to reduce the harm caused by alcohol misuse. They offer a range of support aimed at reducing harm and improving your health. The service is free and confidential to residents of Buckinghamshire aged 18 and over affected by their own or someone else’s alcohol use. One Recovery Bucks offer a wide range of treatments and interventions to individuals using their services. You will be allocated a keyworker and together you will identify what your needs and goals are and how they can best support you.
Services available:
- Harm reduction services: naloxone, needle exchange, safer injecting advice, sexual health services, blood-borne virus (BBV) testing & vaccination
- Outreach services
- Brief interventions and advice for those not seeking structured treatment
- Self-help resources and online support
- Supportive, clinical treatment prescribing programmes (for opiates and alcohol) for detox and relapse prevention
- Referral into inpatient detoxification or stabilisation and residential rehabilitation
- Psycho-social one-to-one and group work interventions (check timetable to ask in the hub)
- Individualised treatment care plans for all illicit drugs and alcohol including new psychoactive substances (formerly known as legal highs)
- Evidenced-based therapeutic interventions
- Support and treatment for prescription-only medication drugs (POM) and over-the-counter drugs (OTC)
- Complementary therapies
- Group activities
- Health promotion including sexual health advice and contraception
- Intensive aftercare support packages
